Types of Aerial Photography:
Oblique Aerial Photography

The term "Oblique Photography" refers to views taken from the side of the aircraft at an angle to the subject rather than from directly overhead. These views provide a pleasing view of the site and include surrounding property. Images can be zoomed in and close up or skyline view showing mile of land surrounding the site. Developers often use skyline oblique images to show the surrounding communities and population.
Vertical Aerial Photography

The term "Vertical Photography" refers to views taken from directly above the subject. These overhead views are used by attorneys, engineers, and people who work in real estate who need to see roof tops and road structures. These views are not meant to give a sense of height of structures as oblique views do. But rather, they allow you see in all directions around a site to view neighboring properties and to assess the shape and layout of a property.

A picture may be worth one thousand words, but to contractors and project managers, construction progress aerial photographs could be worth a lot more than that. Enhance progress reports for owners and banks. Prevent and settle disputes with subcontractors, owners and banks. Taken at low altitude with high-quality professional Nikon camera equipment, our progress photos clearly show all details on a site from an overall perspective not possible from ground level.

Vertical Geo Mapping & Stitching
By flying at precise altitudes, speeds an GPS coordinates we are able to shoot vertical images and stitch them together to map entire quadrants. We are able to provide ground resolution of 1 inch to 36 inches per pixel. Each image has latitude/longitude coordinates embedded in the image along with other important reference information and metadata. Below is an example of only 4 images of the Norfolk Virginia shoreline stitched. We can stitch hundreds of images together either in a line or a mosaic.

Digital Enhancements
If necessary, we can digitally enhance your photographs. Sometimes, you need a photo taken even when the weather isn't great: the sky may be gray or the grass may be brown. But you still need a nice shot for marketing. No problem. With a little digital "magic", we can dramatically transform images.
